Systems Engineer – Enterprise – 946419

A Systems Engineer (SE) is an outstanding individual who combines the communications skills to build strong professional relationships with the technical skills to develop compelling network solutions that accomplish our customers’ business imperatives. The SE partners with an Account Manager to drive revenue growth for Juniper by delivering business success to our customers and partners.

Daily activities include direct customer and partner engagement: comprehensive discovery, information sharing, and collaborative solution design; proposal development; solution demonstrations; proof-of-concept test design and execution. We also work collaboratively within Juniper to highlight emerging customer requirements and use cases, convey the competitive landscape, and coordinate with Juniper and partner professional services organizations to ensure implementations meet or exceed customer expectations. Additionally, we invest in technical, professional, and leadership development through self-study and formal training.

Position Specifics

This is a home-office based position in the New York City metro regionresponsible for a range of SLED, healthcare, and mid-tier commercial accounts in NYC / NJ regional areas.

Experience:

A demonstrated ability as a pre-sales SE for a network vendor or value-added reseller (3-5 years experience)

Strong hands-on experience with Juniper appliances solutions

Experience crafting/building data center and campus networks, as well as IP/MPLS/Optical backbone networks

JNCIE or equivalent experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent desired

Required Skills:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop meaningful and impactful professional relationships.

Routing Protocols (IGPs, EGPs, Layer-2/3 VPN’s)

Campus network design (Virtual-Chassis, 802.11 ax, 802.3ad)

Datacenter network design (EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, underlay Fabric)

Network Security (NGFW, UTM, DDoS, IPSec, MACSec, SIEM)
