Job Description
iMPact Business Group is searching for a Systems Administrator for our client in Sarasota, FL for a3 month + contract to hire opportunity.
The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for organizing, modifying, and supporting computer and server systems. Installs, and maintains server and storage infrastructure, network LAN/WAN installs, Internet and intranet systems, IOT/Mobile device, telephony, video conference services, and application support.
Strong Microsoft background with various Microsoft skillsets including Azure.
Deploys, documents, and cross-trains on new servers, networks, and storage systems.
Supports LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Maintains and monitors overall system health, efficiency, and security.
Maintains backup systems and understands business continuity.
Knowledge of security policies and practices. Every decision and action considers the security risk and implications.
Ability to analyze and isolate issues. Strong problem-solving aptitude.
Monitors the environment to ensure security and availability to specific users.
Maintains active directory and office 365.
Strong attention to detail.
Understanding and ability to use cloud services to include, but not limited to Azure and AWS.
Working knowledge of virtualization and hyper-converged technologies.
Ability to explain and document technical concepts to inexperienced users.
Understands and utilizes scripting to enhance and maintain the environment.
Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred and 4+ years in a similar role.
Minimum 8+ years’ work experience & minimum of 5+ years in a similar role.
Telephony experience preferred.
Must be a team player.
Strong oral / written communication skills, and the ability to deal effectively with personnel from all levels of the organization.
Strong Customer Service skills required.
Microsoft Certifications preferred. (MCSE, Advanced Server, Active Directory )
Effective ability to communicate orally and in written form with management, internal and external customers, including the ability to provide highly effective customer service.
Good understanding of basic mathematical concepts as it relates to general business / IT work.
