Trello is growing our global design team and is searching for a passionate, talented designer. We have an opportunity for a Senior Product Designer to join the Trello team and help build one of our flagship products. This role is aimed at pioneering how people organize and plan on mobile platforms for Trello, to deliver on our mission to help people visually collaborate with anyone, anywhere. You will be empowered to think at a high level about product strategy and vision to inform decisions that will shape the future of how people use the Trello mobile apps. You will use a range of skills including research, ideation, interaction design, and visual design to craft mobile-first experiences that are simple and intuitive.

Trello’s mobile team is focused on growing our mobile user base and building apps that our users love. As we grow our international audience and people increasingly spend time on their phones, this team is positioned to significantly contribute to Trello’s growth. As part of this team, you will push boundaries on what productivity and collaboration look like on a mobile device.
Trello’s mobile apps are central to enabling people to collaborate anytime, anywhere. You will develop a deep understanding of how mobile users contribute to projects and teams in varying environments and contexts. You’ll come up with creative solutions to help users capture information quickly, collaborate with others, and stay organized. Along the way, you will ensure our apps continue to support the needs of a broad and diverse range of teams, spanning personal and work use cases.
At Atlassian, designers work within a “triad,” collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams to build and innovate the Atlassian product suite. You’ll have the chance to work in a cross-functional team, have substantial ownership and autonomy, and make a strong impact on a product used by millions.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
6+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX Designer or Product Designer in increasingly senior roles, designing and shipping mobile product.
Deep and up-to-date expertise in iOS and Android platforms.
Your seniority is obvious when it comes to harnessing the energy of a large and highly skilled product team. This means strong facilitation and collaboration abilities, a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams, and the attitude to lead teams toward the best design outcomes.
Incredible communication skills, in multiple settings: one on ones, group meetings, and written communication. You can translate highly technical content to non-technical people, and more importantly into our user’s language.
A robust experience with customer research and know when to apply the right methodology to the problem at hand.
A deep understanding and a high degree of empathy for the people who experience your work.
A comfort for defining projects and measures of success, testing your assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporating feedback.
The ability to apply your design skills in research, interaction design, and visual design to help craft and build new features.
The ability to balance data-informed insights alongside synthesizing customer research streams.
Strong execution skills too, and are adept in modern tools such as Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Adobe CC, and Keynote.
Experience prototyping frameworks in your workflow.
