This Senior Financial Analyst will partner with stakeholders in AWS network engineering, business operations, datacenter capacity management, and supply chain to support the forecasting, ordering, and deployment of networking equipment in newly built datacenters. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial forecasting and controllership for an integral component of AWS networking. In addition, you will have the opportunity to influence the networking deployment strategy for new datacenters, making financially backed recommendations that incorporate a broad range of input from business stakeholders. Our business partners develop and operate the network platform for all of Amazon, including e-commerce products and AWS cloud computing solutions, and are critical to our customers’ success.
This role’s responsibilities include:
Partner with business teams across AWS networking to create the financial plan for networking deployments in newly built datacenters
Full ownership of monthly, quarterly, annual, and 3-year financial forecasting for these new deployments, incorporating stakeholder feedbacks, growth expectations, and efficiency gains into financial models
Bring financial perspective to business decisions, understand core business drivers, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations based on an analytical framework
Drive automation, efficiency, and accuracy by partnering with business operations and engineering process owners to support fast-paced deployment of datacenter networking capacity
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Network Finance team and is responsible for full financial controllership of networking deployments within their domain. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong written and verbal communication skills with technical audiences, a bias for action and ownership, and the ability to convey financial metrics to senior leaders within AWS.
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
