Job Description:Senior Accountant with extensive knowledge of Government Contract Accounting. This position is focused on performing on-going and/or project based work for small to mid-sized Gov- Con clients to include oversight of the general outsourcing staff.
Prior Outsourcing or Public Accounting experience a plus with the ability to relate well with and manage the firm’s clients.
DCAA Pre-Award Audits
DCAA Compliance Audits (monthly, quarterly, annually depending on the contract terms) after contract has been awarded
Setting up a client from start to finish to be DCAA compliant
Creating DCAA Company Accounting Policies and Procedures for clients from scratch
Strategic Consulting re: Bids & Proposals on Government Contracts. Guide the client on how to increase their chances of winning a bid
Indirect Rate Reporting: Provisional Billing Indirect Rates, Cost Proposal Indirect Rates, Forward Pricing Indirect Rates, Subcontractor and Prime Billing Rates, Safe Harbor Indirect Rates, Wrap Rates, & Burn Rates
Experience in various Gov Con Types: Firm Fixed Pricing, Cost Reimbursement Pricing (Cost Contracts &Cost Plus Fixed Fee), Time and Materials Pricing, and Labor Hour Contracts.
BA/BS in Accounting
CPA certification a plusor relevant accountant background in years of accounting experience
Expert in Excel; Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP. Preferred if the candidate already has their own Indirect Rate Reporting templates that can be compared to the current ones being used by the client
Proven Accounting expertise with Government Contracts in a senior level capacity such as Senior Accounting Manager or Controller
