As a Sales Engineer, you will play the lead role in evaluating the technical fit of our products to prospective clients through the sales process. You will become a Midigator product expert and will have a deep technical understanding of our products. The ideal candidate will have a knack for solving complex problems, and combine technical knowledge with exceptional presentation skills to provide both internal and external advice. You will support our customers through the sales cycle, assisting with pre-sales technical knowledge and presentations. You understand our prospects’ product requirements and help them validate those requirements against our product, identifying any technical risks and providing mitigation strategies when needed.
Become a subject matter expert of Midigator APIs and our third party integrations that are used to deliver automated solutions to our customers.
Develop positive working relationships with clients, sales, client success, operations, and product teams as a trusted advisor.
Stay in constant contact via phone, email, and/or messaging chats with newly signed customers in order to successfully complete their integration.
Perform client and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person).
Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.
Create and maintain detailed documentation on every integration from an on-boarding and functionality perspective.
Triage and document known issues, and necessary maintenance on existing integrations.
Assist with technical sections for RFP/RFI and vendor assessments for new and existing clients.
Be the go-to technical person for the customer throughout onboarding.
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements that will keep Midigator ahead of the competition. Maintain thorough documentation of all issues, client interactions and incident reports.
Participate in security reviews and technical discussions with the client’s IT and security teams and address any security or product-related concerns.
Share sales and product insights and feedback with the product management team to facilitate new features and updates.
Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with the product team.
Train Sales, Operations and Client Success on new supported systems.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a sales engineer or solutions engineer.
Solid technical background and ability to understand and discuss technical documentation.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to make effective customer presentations.
Strong leadership skills to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts/opportunities.
Experience creating detailed technical proposals and implementation plans.
Experience preparing RFP and RFI responses.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS/CIS, or any other technical field.
Occasional travel may be required
