Research Assistant, Electoral
The Public Policy Research Assistant will provide support to the Public Policy Deputy Director for Advocacy and Campaigns in researching donors and candidates in preparation for the upcoming election cycle. The Research Assistant will also conduct research relating to Planned Parenthood Illinois Action PAC’s political activities for the upcoming election cycles.
Track donations to Planned Parenthood Illinois Action and Planned Parenthood Illinois Action PAC
Assist with reporting requirements to the Federal Election Commission and the Illinois State Board of Elections
Compile research information to assist Planned Parenthood Illinois Action PAC in electoral planning
Meet weekly with the Deputy Director of Advocacy and Campaigns for Public Policy to discuss projects, activities and address questions
Bring questions, concerns or needs to supervisor, on an as-needed basis
Report hours worked and submit a brief narrative of accomplishments, at the end of each month and distribute to Public Policy staff.
Physical demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and use the phone. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to key in data, handle, or feel and reach. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications: (Education, Experience)
A basic understanding of database management
A basic understanding of using the internet for research
Any additional experience on political campaigns, advocacy groups or grassroots groups will be considered.
