Title: Python Developer – Remote
Robert Half is sourcing for multiple Python Developers with AWS experience.
This is a long term opportunity and is remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Be able to develop of enterprise-level information technology solutions by analyzing, coding, testing, and implementing new software and by modifying/enhancing existing software applications.
Clear Understanding of processes, services, software and other tools to support business objectives pertinent to AWS technologies.
Ensure to understand needs as well as disparate technologies existing in use through engage platform plus drive towards convergence.
Present, and evangelize advanced/efficient code effectively to all levels of the organization.
Coordinate with Technical Lead/Quality and/or business analysts to determine requirements.
Ensure that the application design complies with the enterprise’s standard for technical, information application, and business architecture.
Resolve the implications and conflicts between the ideal application architecture and constraints imposed by other forces (e.g., availability, security, financial, accessibility, etc.).
Plan and execute usability evaluation along with testing across development stages.
Research emerging trends in cloud-based development and AWS technologies to stay current within the field.
Skills/ Other Requirements
Practical (Hands on ) Experience working on complex cloud-based software projects, web application development, security and open source technologies
Cloud Technologies: Microservices/API, AWS, IAM, S3, EFS, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, AWS APIs, AWS CLI, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, CloudFormation, Serverless
Experience working with Databases like Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 or NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Dynamo DB, PostGreSQL
Good to Have:
Big Data Technologies like Python, Java, Scala, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Solr
Efficient in Scripting language such as shell script, python
Good understanding in Linux commands such as grep, top, nohup etc.
One or more of the following:
Software Configuration Management Tool such as GIT
Experience in Cloud Based/Serverless/Microservice Architecture
Knowledge of enterprise coding standards
Hands on experience in writing highly complex code
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adapt to change
Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
