Multiplayer Networking Architect
As a Multiplayer Networking Architect at Vicarious Visions you will be responsible for the design of our end-to-end network stack. Working on categories such as social integration, matchmaking, responsiveness and reliability. You’ll balance our player’s expectations as well as our creative direction to provide an exceptional online gaming experience.

About the role
Establish the network stack design and architecture strategy for all studio products
Develop solutions that exceed the industry expectations
Evangelize our networking technology and how it impacts our product development
Mentor & coach other network engineers
Craft learning materials and documentation for department growth in networking
Collaborate with Studio leadership to develop mid & long-term strategies
Have 7+ years of engineering experience
Have previous experience working with distributed teams.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess expertise in low-level networking protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP, HTTP)
Are comfortable programming in a variety of languages including C and C++
Have shipped product with real-time networking implementation
You have built & implemented a technical vision on an engineering team
Experience designing scalable & responsive service-oriented architecture a plus
Post launch (live-ops) support experience a plus
Experience with Full-Stack architecture design a plus
