The Medical Office Scheduler is responsible for providing excellent patient service care via telephone, maintaining patient database, and scheduling appointments.
Class starts March 15, 2021.Training is for approximately 4-5 weeks, 9a CST to 5p CST and remote, with 100% attendance required for the entire training period ( meaning no appointments or vacations).Training isfull-time. Must be able to attend the entire Training class. Production schedules arepart-time. Each shift starts at 8a cst and each shift ends at different times. The total number of hours per weeks varies from 16-20. Working on Mondays is required. Our Woodstone office is located 11845 I-10 W, Suite 102 San Antonio, TX 78230.This is a training and work from home position utilizing Zoom.
Pay: $12 – $14 per hour
Weekend shift differential: $2.50 per hour between the hours of 12a Saturday and 11:59p on Sunday
Schedule Compliance Differential: $1.00 per hour when working 95% of schedule each month
Bilingual differential: $.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilitiesincluded but not limited to:
Answers high volume of calls; transfers and directs calls; provides exceptional customer service via telephone
Responsible for all front office patient coordination; to be completed in a timely manner (e.g. appointment scheduling, transport coordination)
Communicates clearly and effectively (both oral and written) with patients, clients, Team Members, peers and Leadership.
Accurately inputs data into both Carenet and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) databases
Answers all inquiries from patients, customers and third party vendors; provides clinic directions / hours of operation
Contacts health plans and verifies patient insurance information
Demonstrates the ability to multi-task; simultaneously listening, talking, reading and typing
Must have above average, strong computer skills
Must be experienced enough to toggle between 6, 8 or even 10 programs
Learn in a group setting remotely
Will need to type a MINIMUM of 40 wpm
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Bilingual – fluent in conversational Spanish, must be able to read and write
Must have a minimum of 1 year medical office scheduling or hospital scheduling experience, preferably within the past 3 years
Must have a minimum of 1 year Electronic Medical records (EMR) …
