Job Description Summary
This newly created role will broadly drive our transformation strategy for Corporate Finance leveraging our Transamerica Business System (TBS) processes and resources. This is an integral role that will create and support financial modeling for TBS working in partnership with our Transformation Office. This role will integrate the business financial information in a broader sense, getting deeper into capital and earnings analysis and the impact of 4.0 on the business and illustrate how it fits into Mid-Term Planning (MTP).
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth pro forma financial modeling of Corporate initiatives (support functions, including IT, Finance, HR, etc).
Review deliverables in coordination with Heads of Functional areas (e.g. CFO, CTO) and Corporate Expense Management Sr. Director.
Develop and manage tools to track the financial performance of our portfolio of new and in-flight initiatives; recommend enhancements and process improvements where applicable
Work with Expense teams to establish attributions by initiative and project full P&L pro formas for expense line items.
Ensure alignment between budget and project system data for corporate initiatives.
Coordinate evaluation of initiative-level expense assumptions and work in close coordination with the Expense leadership team to evaluate appropriateness of assumptions.
Lead initiative-level forecasting and monthly updates of actual financials on behalf of the Functional Area, Finance and Initiative Owners.
Coordinate and assign review of monthly financials and review of new initiatives across the corporate expense analysts.
Work with IT finance lead to produce reporting around IT-dependent initiatives with the corporate workstream.
Represent Corporate Functional areas in meetings with Initiative Owners and Transformation Leads and drive resolution of Finance issues.
Conduct initiative level financial due diligence and issue resolution.
Support ad hoc financial requests related to initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
Eight years of accounting/finance experience including three years of supervisory/management experience
