What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
As a member of our IT team, you will work side by side with the business, pursuing strategic opportunities for our company. It’s an exciting time with new products, new distribution channels and new customer needs that are driving big investments in technology. The Standard is on a multi-year program to modernize key infrastructure and business systems. These programs are in flight now and include Workforce and Customer identity platforms.
We are seeking an Identity Engineer to help drive our Identity roadmap. In this role, you will provide design, implementation,automation,capacity planning, and engineering level support for a suite of Identity infrastructure components.
This team will drive our Identity infrastructure, next generationcapabilitiesfor our employees and customers, provide mentorship and technical support to our operations teams, and create and maintain system documentation. Additionally, the position involves research, tool development and documentation for future environments.
The Skills & Background You’ll Need
Strong experience with Workforce and Customer Identity
Experience with SSO and federation concepts
Understanding of microservices architecture patterns
Strong, proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of cryptography (PKI, hashing, two-way encryption, etc.)
Good understanding of web servers, proxies, firewalls, and load balancers
Basic networking concepts
Basic knowledge of web-debugging and tracing
Basic server, infrastructure, and cloud concepts
Basic understanding of the information security landscape
Basic Agile and Scrummethodologies
Basic DevOps principles
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements of application characteristics, including third-party software requirements, backend resources, and implementation approaches.
Desired Experience With:
PingFederate, PingDirectory and PingSYnc
Working knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect
Working knowledge of *nix operating systems
Shell and other scripting languages
Chef, Ansible, and other DevOps tool chains
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred, not required
Prefer five years as an Infrastructure Engineer
