Seeking an experienced Head of People to lead people strategy, hiring, HR initiatives and culture at Protocol Labs.

As the Head of People at Protocol Labs you might
Build and lead the people organization to support a global team
Establish Protocol Labs as the leading employer in the emerging fields of blockchain and distributed systems
Develop our strategy to recruit, engage and develop an organization comprised of fully distributed engineers, researchers, and other contributors
Reinforce the unique traits of open source, research and start-ups in our culture
Design and lead the work and processes that will enable us to grow as a distributed org with teammates all over the world, ensuring their continued growth, happiness and productivity
Develop and drive PLs unique culture through tangible measures reinforcing our ability to work at the intersection of many fields (systems, cryptography, economics) and worlds (open source, startups, research, academia)
Define performance and develop ways to accurately measure and reward it
Build a robust diversity program that enables us to hire and retain talent of all backgrounds
You may be a fit for this role if you have…
Significant experience as a people leader at a high growth technology company
Strategic instincts and the ability to shape a complex, global and distributed organization In-depth knowledge and understanding of talent acquisition and management strategies and experience building high-performing teams
Successful experience scaling an organization during a rapid growth phaseProven track record of driving business results through the HR/recruiting function
Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done in addition to leading complex strategy discussions
Ability to define and drive culture across org levels as part of a company that is comprised of many culturally distinct teams
You have experience with organizations comprised of fully distributed teammates
You have worked with open source projects and communities
You understand organizations that have a strong research component
