This position will work on a multi-disciplinary team on a project for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The goal is to provide a streamlined user experience to support beneficiaries and caregivers. You will work with our clients at CMS and act as the face of the team. This position will also work with our Product Manager and Tech Lead to develop project strategy and then with the Scrum master to ensure team execution. Your finger is always on the pulse.
At least 10 years of experience managing IT projects using Agile. Familiarity with SAFe methodology is a plus.
Experience managing large projects and multiple small teams, with simultaneous timelines and deliverables.
Demonstrated ability in budget reporting and tracking; spreadsheets energize you!
Experience using continuous improvement methods to optimize system or team performance (e.g. LEAN, ITIL, Continuous Service Improvement (CSI), or Six Sigma).
Experience navigating bureaucracy in large organizations to get things done. Ability to keep the team motivated to do the same.
Comfortable working side-by-side with both a dedicated scrum master and product owner.
Support the scrum master and/or product owner with Agile team tasks as needed. This includes ticket refinement and sprint planning.
Project reporting to track budget, deliverables, velocity, performance metrics, SLAs, milestones, risks, key decisions, and timelines.
Proactive client relationship building and nurturing, including stakeholder one-on-ones, communications, and difficult conversations.
Collaborate and communicate with other vendors to traverse overlapping scope with shared goals.
Navigate the laws, policies, and people within the government to drive the project forward.
Project on/off boarding team members.
Contract management, tracking scope and deliverables for all parts of the project. This includes owning deadlines across the entire project.
Project planning, resource management, and concise budget management.
Monitor the financial health of the project by reviewing invoices, as well as tracking invoice totals against budget burn.
Identify, manage, and communicate early on project opportunities and escalations.

$100,000 – $130,000 USD per Year
