Economic Development Content Manager

Facebook designs, builds, leases and operates the most innovative and efficient data centers in the world. Developing, operating and managing the data center infrastructure and facilities the “right” way is synonymous with ensuring high uptime, capacity availability, flexibility and capital and operational cost efficiency in a safe, healthy working environment. Facebook is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our data center economic development team. This role will partner with our data center economic development team to refine strategy and produce content that proactively advances our positive data center narrative across our global data center footprint.
Economic Development Content Manager Responsibilities
Partner with our infrastructure communications team to develop strategies and lead campaigns to support Facebook’s global fleet of data centers.
Maintain a library of data supporting our external narrative.
Draft proactive and reactive messaging in response to a range of issues relating to our data centers.
Interface and consult regularly with cross-functional teams including policy, legal, communications, and infrastructure.
Forge deep relationships with public and private organizations that help advance our positive narratives.
Prepare messaging and blog posts to support teams with data center events.
Lead various projects related to our data centers, as needed.
12+ years of experience in communications or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, political science, communications or related field.
Experience drafting messaging materials and working with cross-functional groups.
Experience building outreach programs and managing stakeholder relations at a national or international level.
