About the role

The Director of Financial Analytics is a Strategic Business Partner to key collaborators across Andela’s global business functions and is able to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into concrete and useful insights in promoting data-driven strategies.

Role and Responsibilities :

Build and lead a technical platform that support analytics

Use internal and external market data to build predictive models and gain insight into future business performance

Provide data, support and insight for the various financial models used by Finance and the business, including the company’s long term strategic plan

Create predictive models and strategic analysis for the purpose of guiding the finance forecasts

Lead business analytics and initiatives that generate real time insight for the business

Lead executive-level meetings and effectively communicate results and insights derived from complex models and analytics

Partner with internal teams responsible for data to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional education in lieu of experience)

Experience using SQL, ETL, R, Python and visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker

A self-starter with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills

An effective business partner with strong communication skills and able to optimally drive thought leadership and collaborate across departments

Must possess the ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth, and global environment

Prior experience with financial modeling, financial planning and Accounting knowledge a plus
