Job Description
Title: Director, Investor Relations
Remote US

The Director of Investor Relations will broaden and enhance shareholder value and financial image through content creation, process management, and communication management.
This position will report to the SVP, Finance and requires close collaboration with senior leaders across the company. You will be responsible for creating and delivering reliable financial communications to shareholders in an effort to increase value and visibility, and will have the opportunity to help shape strategic, financial, and operating decisions based on shareholder feedback. You will also work to create new ways of communicating our unique value proposition to investors by ensuring the strength of our business model and our financial analysis is displayed clearly and accurately.
What you’ll do
Develop long term relationships with industry analysts and investors to communicate the company’s financial results and strategic positioning.
Analyze corporate activities for investors, identifying networking and other opportunities to build and create new initiatives.
Execute on the Company’s investor education strategy to ensure the Affirm story is well positioned to top investors.
Monitor industry developments and competitor activity in the public markets.
Maintain strong relationships with investors by coordinating efficient and effective education events.
Partner with cross functional finance partners to prepare quarterly earnings release materials including press releases, conference call scripts, Q&A, and slide presentation; prepare other financial press releases and supplemental materials.
Liaise with the VP, Investor Relations, SVP, Finance and Affirm’s Communications team on materials such as press and earnings releases, for dissemination to the public.
What we look for
Prior investor relations experience in house for a high-growth technology company
Deep familiarity with financial and legal reporting requirements of publicly-traded companies
Ability to quickly understand complex accounting approaches & explain them succinctly to investors and analysts
Must understand valuation approaches taken in the market and be able to translate to internal communications
Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
Outstanding communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to develop and deliver messaging, presentations, and communications to varying audiences, adapting delivery methods and styles.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
