Curriculum Quality Controller
Online – Remote
The Center for Excellence in Higher Education (CEHE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. CEHE operates degree-granting career colleges throughout the western United States and online. The college brands include Stevens-Henager Colleges in Utah and Idaho; CollegeAmerica in Colorado, Arizona, and Wyoming; California College San Diego, and Independence University (online platform). All of the colleges are accredited by ACCSC, a national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The colleges offer degree programs from the Associate’s level through the Master’s level in a variety of disciplines including Computer Science, Graphic Arts, Business/Accounting, Medical Specialties, Nursing, and Healthcare. CEHE is an at-will employer.
Curriculum Quality Controller, IU
In support of this, the Curriculum Quality Controller, IU is responsible for reviewing curriculum for adherence to internal and external quality and structural standards. The Curriculum Quality Controller will have an exquisite eye for detail, exceptional writing and editing skills, strong visual layout awareness, and an understanding of instructional design principles. The Curriculum Quality Controller will also have data collection and analytic skills along with an ability to effectively document work process and findings.
Review IU curriculum in the learning management system and related documents for structural compliance, credit hour calculation, and quality
Evaluate grammar, spelling, writing quality, and writing structure/presentation
Write and edit content on a wide range of topics
Create spreadsheets, gather data, analyze data, and present findings to determine effectiveness of curriculum changes on targeted student and course outcomes
Collaborate with IU and the companies course designers, deans, subject matter experts, and other academic leaders in development, evaluation, and implementation of curriculum
Work within deadlines individually and collaboratively on large – and small-scale projects
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, particularly in evaluating writing quality and structural compliance of curriculum
Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
Ability to work effectively in a learning management system
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs?Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Fair working knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred
Extremely detail-oriented, well-organized, great collaborator/team player
Ability to work independently
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to articulate evaluations and handle multiple rounds of feedback and corrective actions in the curriculum development cycle
