Curriculum Developer for Master of Public Administration Online Program

Our system adapts learning assets to each student’s learning behaviors, reinforces strengths, and targets their weaknesses through personalized practice. As a result, students not only benefit from time-efficient learning methodologies but also improved performance on tests and a more enjoyable learning journey.
We are looking to hire content developers for our online Public Administration courses, which will be a part of our Master of Public Administration program. Your primary responsibility will be developing learning content for the program. For those with a terminal degree in an appropriate discipline, you may have the option to facilitate the online courses through our university partners (in addition to content development).
Our Master of Public Administration program will have 12 courses, focusing on subject matter including public policy analysis, public budgeting, fundamentals of project management, organizational behavior, and technology in the public sector. Some sample course descriptions from our program are included below:
The Public Policy Analysis course introduces students to the foundations of public policy, including an overview of the policymaking process, the underpinnings of policy analysis, and the current climate in public policy. Students will first examine how governments and public institutions allocate resources in various contexts and how policies are developed and implemented. More specifically, the course surveys the mechanisms and tools through which efficiency and equity objectives are developed, the decision-making and voting processes, how public choice influences policy making, cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis, and the role of special interest groups and ethics in the policy process.
The Fundamentals of Project Management course focuses on the project management principles relevant to organizing, planning, implementing and controlling various aspects of an institution. Students will gain an understanding of the project life cycle, work breakdown structures, budgeting and scheduling, and the various tools and methods that can enhance a project schedules and budgets and performance outcomes.
The Technology in the Public Sector course surveys the interface between technology and innovation and the way the public sector operates. More specifically, technological solutions targeted at enhancing business processes, competitive advantage, and data collection and analysis will be examined. Through surveying contemporary examples of innovation in the public sector, students will also gain an understanding of managing innovation projects, developing strategic initiatives, and addressing social and ethical issues introduced by ever-changing technologies emerging today.
