The Business Analyst will understand the business/data requirements for each product and perform detailed data analysis of client’s data to ensure data delivered is complete to effectively implement each product successfully. The business analyst will interact with clients and various cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure their in-scope deliverables are met with quality to meet the objective of fulfilling client commitments. Individual must have a proven track record with experience with healthcare claims payment systems and/or enrollment systems and analyzing data in databases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB FUNCTION:
Complies with HIPAA Compliance and Security Policies and Procedures
Acts as the data lead for all product implementations, building and testing SQL scripts to validate data integrity and provide feedback to clients.
Develops data mapping and transformation scripts to put data in the required format and context.
Performs technical data analysis, provide referential integrity checks and deliver other project tasks, as assigned, on time and communicates accordingly.
Ensures that all critical elements of the data are provided by client to meet data and implementation objectives for each product.
Works with client on their specific business processes and advises client on how to extract data based on defined business processes.
Participates in cross-functional project team meetings.
Provides input on measures, works within scope of work as defined or raises any changes in scope to management.
Coordinates with client any data changes required to ensure a successful implementation.
Documents results from data analysis.
Provides technical mapping documentation to be used during transition to EDI/ETL team.
May interact with sales, product management, account management, business operations and other stakeholders as needed.
Proactively anticipates, identifies and communicates risks.
Assumes responsibility for problem solving.
Continuously improves client on boarding for speed of data acquisition.
Protects the confidentiality of sensitive data, strategic plans and information, establishes effective and defensible practices to ensure safeguarding of employee and client information.
Adheres to company and department specific safety, confidentiality, values, policies and standards.
Knowledge of business processes as it relates to medical claims, payments and insurance eligibility
