Ansible Automation Engineer- 100% remote
Our technologically sophisticated SecDevOps team is hiring!
We are a small team comprised of developers, engineers, and data scientists who are responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge solutions for a fantastic Government client. We’re looking to add a fourth member to our team who would primarily be responsible for authoring and automating all the components required to bring our projects into production.
We use Ansible, Terraform, and AWS daily and are happy to fill in any experience gaps, provided we find the right candidate passionate about automation and development.
Being a small team, we are looking for self-starters who can work independently don’t need direction on the small details.
Our team members often have unique, complex hobby projects that they develop outside of business hours. Technology isn’t a job for us — it’s a passion, and we love using it both professionally and personally.
Must Have Experience:
2+ years of Ansible development experience. This experience must include full-time Ansible experience automating Linux/UNIX platforms, applications, and multiple environments.
4+ years of IT experience. The successful candidate will have proven IT experience administering systems, configuring tools, administering networks, or databases.
1+ years of AWS experience. The successful candidate will have experience working with Amazon Web Services either deploying or assessing AWS services and applications that run in AWS.
Icing on the cake:
Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana: In your free time maybe you’ve spun up a small ELK cluster with Docker. Awesome! We’d love to have you.
Application Development: You may not be the next Richard Stallman, but have you written anything that you are proud of and want to talk about? The choice of language doesn’t matter, and it doesn’t matter if it is scripted or compiled. Let’s geek out over what you’ve created and any problems you had writing it.
Machine Learning: We think big data is pretty cool, and we are currently doing some amazing things with it.
Some Responsibilities Include:
Automating Enterprise Logging Platforms using the Elastic Stack and AWS services
Automating infrastructure management on-premise and in the cloud
Automating the development of security controls including firewall rules and policy and IPS policy.
Automating server configuration for security including logging, key changes, and system hardening.
Automating the implementation of security controls in Amazon Web Services (AWS) via the AWS API.
Developing security enhancements to improve the security posture of our Government clients. Building blue team defenses to detect and block the adversary.
Developing custom enhancements to COTS tools to improve their functionality and enrich data.
