As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Master’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, or related field AND valid state teacher certification in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education, a valid state teacher certification in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or Special Education, a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Special Education OR a minimum of two items from the following criteria:
Leadership position and/or membership in an educational advisory board or a department of education sponsored committee such as a school improvement solutions team within the past five years.
Has minimum of one publication of article(s) in a professional education magazine or journal within the last five years.
Has minimum of 2 presentation(s) such as in-service for teachers and/or administrators on best practices within the last five years.
Served as a subject matter expert; wrote new curriculum, or revised materials in early childhood education or early childhood special education content areas within the last five years.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching students ages birth to age 8/grade 3.
Evidence of a minimum of 2 years of part-time or full-time teaching experience in higher education (undergraduate or graduate level) in the area of Early Child Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Special Education.
